Cross-border work calls for careful documentation, precise language and reliable coordination.

Overview
What everyday work here consists of
A substantial part of our mandates begins with a loss that has already occurred – frequently through deception, frequently via a platform or a payment service provider, and almost always with parties in several states. The first work is therefore rarely legal argument, but reconstruction: which payments ran when and through which channels, which documents still exist, and which information can be obtained from whom within which deadline.
From this follows a way of working that differs from classical departmental work. A mandate is not handed over to a practice area, but is led by a responsible person who keeps the overview of all legal systems concerned and takes on the coordination with locally admitted practitioners. For clients this coordination should not be noticeable; for the person who leads it, it is the core of the task.
That presupposes a readiness to work together across language borders. Our practitioners work at locations in Zurich, London, Germany, Forbach and Tallinn, and a case regularly moves back and forth among several of these locations in the course of its handling.

Whom we address
We currently have no advertised positions. We look at applications from the following areas independently of that, because need in this work can rarely be planned.
Practitioners
With admission in one of the legal systems in which we practise, and an interest in cross-border matters. Experience in commercial criminal law, in the enforcement of claims or in the handling of digital property offences is helpful, but not a prerequisite.
Legal traineeship (Referendariat) and research assistance
Seats and work on concrete mandates rather than on model files. Anyone who completes a seat here works on live matters – with corresponding responsibility for deadlines and confidentiality.
Law-firm organisation and deadline management
In mandates across several legal systems, deadlines run in parallel and under different rules. Anyone who leads this structure reliably contributes more to the result than any additional argument.
Translation and language mediation
Our correspondence runs in German, English, French, Dutch and Estonian. Precise legal language mediation is, in these mandates, not an add-on, but part of the substance of the work.

What we can promise – and what we cannot
At this point we deliberately name no salary bands, additional benefits or career stages. What can usefully be promised depends on the position and the legal system and belongs in a conversation, not on a website.
- Mandates with a foreign element from the outset, not only after several years
- A fixed case lead instead of anonymous supporting work
- Collaboration with locally admitted practitioners in several states
- Continuing education in the areas in which we actually work
Overview
How an application reaches us
Send your documents to the law firm's address. A brief account of what you would like to work on is more useful to us than a cover letter that merely restates your CV.
- 01
Documents
Curriculum vitae, certificates and – where available – details of admission and chamber membership. For applications from abroad, please also state the legal system in which you are admitted.
- 02
Acknowledgement of receipt
You will receive confirmation that your application has arrived. Because need arises on a project-by-project basis, a substantive reply may take longer than for an advertised vacancy.
- 03
Interview
As a rule, two conversations: one on the substance of the work, and one with the person you would be working with. We discuss remuneration and the shape of the arrangement in the second.
- 04
Data protection
We process application documents solely to assess your application and delete them after the process has concluded, unless you consent to a longer retention period. Further details are set out in the privacy policy.

Describe your matter
An enquiry does not establish a client relationship or responsibility for monitoring deadlines. If a deadline is approaching, do not rely on this form alone.
