Frequently asked questions
Answers on the free services, on cancelling a contract, on contacting us safely and on handling your documents.
Free services
Are the templates and the initial orientation genuinely free?
Yes. The template library, the cancellation guidance, the knowledge section and the initial orientation are available at no cost and without an account. Costs can only arise once an engagement is discussed and agreed separately.
Do I have to register?
No. No sign-in is required to open the templates or the information pages. The enquiry form asks only for what is needed to reply.
Do the templates replace advice?
No. A template can show the usual structure of a letter, but it cannot check whether it fits your contract. Where there is a dispute or an unclear deadline, an individual review is required.
Cancellation
Can a binding deadline be calculated here?
No. Deadlines follow from the specific contract, the terms incorporated into it and any later amendments. The knowledge section explains which details are needed; it does not pre-empt the calculation.
How do I know whether to cancel or withdraw?
Cancellation ends an ongoing contract; a right of withdrawal can undo the binding effect of the contract itself. It exists only under certain conditions. The cancellation guidance sets out the difference in detail.
How do I show that my cancellation arrived?
Keep the text sent, the recipient details and the proof of dispatch together, and compare the confirmation against the expected end date. Dispatch alone does not always prove receipt.
Contact
How quickly will I hear back?
No particular processing or response time is promised. If a deadline is running, do not rely on this form alone — arrange an individual review promptly.
Does the form confirm an appointment?
No. The acknowledgement covers the technical receipt of your enquiry only. An appointment is arranged separately.
How do I check that a message really comes from the firm?
Open the website yourself and use the contact routes published there. Do not reply through links in an unexpected message, and never pass on login credentials.
Identity & data protection
Why does this form not ask for identity documents?
A public form is not the right place for proof of identity. Where identification becomes necessary, it follows a dedicated procedure over a route agreed in advance.
What happens to the information in my enquiry?
It is used to handle your enquiry. Purpose, legal basis and retention are set out in the privacy notice you confirm before sending.
May I confirm bank details by email?
No. Your own account details are confirmed only through the agreed procedure. PINs, passwords and transaction codes are never requested.
Documents
What should I have ready for a first enquiry?
A short description is enough to begin with. A contract number, key dates and a list of the records you hold are helpful — as a list at this stage, not as files.
Should I keep originals?
Yes. Store unaltered originals separately and use copies for any markup. Do not delete records simply because a summary already exists.
Engagement
Does an enquiry create an engagement?
No. Submitting an enquiry does not yet create a client relationship and is not a commitment to accept an engagement.
How does an engagement come about?
Only through a separate agreement covering scope, process and possible fees. There is no automatic acceptance.
General process
Is there a public forum?
Not at present. Personal circumstances do not belong in an open space. Use the knowledge section and the FAQ, and the protected contact route for your own matter.
Which language will I be answered in?
The website is published in German, English and French. The articles in the knowledge section are written in German and marked as such.
